Day 6: After breakfast we leave the Kruger Park and for Swaziland. On the border between South Africa and Swaziland, we will be entertained by Swazi dancers in their traditional and colorful outfits. We drive through sugar cane fields and over mountains, to visit the famous Ngwenya Glass factory. We overnight at a lodge in Swaziland.
Day 7: We depart from Swaziland and drive through the Kingdom of the Zulu's. We visit the oldest game reserve in South Africa, the Hluhluwe game reserve, home of the white rhino. Overnight in a lodge near Hluhluwe.
Day 8: After Breakfast we enter a World Heritage Site, known as St Lucia where we will enjoy a cruise on Lake. Here we will come close to hippos and crocodiles. In the afternoon we will travel to a hotel just outside of Durban.
Day 9: The morning is spent at the new uShaka Sea World. The afternoon is free to do shopping at The Gateway shopping mall and We will overnight just outside of Durban.
Day 10: After breakfast we depart to the north and visit a battle field at Spioenkop, near Winterton. This battle between the British and old Dutch speaking South African forces, was one of the most futile and probably the bloodiest battles of the South African War and was fought on January 1900. We will overnight in a lodge, in the Drakensberg Mountain range.
Day 11: After breakfast our travels take us over the Drakensberg mountain range, the foothills of the Maluti's to the Golden Gate Mountains. We will visit the Sterkfontein Dam and experience the beauty of the savannah's and the mountains. We will overnight in a lodge in Clarence.
Day 12: After breakfast and a walk around the beautiful art shops in Clarence, we return to our lodge and relax for the afternoon at our leisure.
Day 13: After breakfast We depart from Clarence and drive back to Johannesburg. We will stop at some spots along the road and we will overnight in a guest lodge, with dinner in a Boma, just outside Johannesburg.
Day 14: After breakfast we visit Soweto, the most well known township in South Africa. We will visit Nelson Mandela home, the Regina Mundi Church, the Hector Pieterson Memorial and drive past the Winnie Mandela home and Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu home. We enjoy a typical township lunch at Wandie's in Soweto. We do a little shopping in Sandton and then return to the Johannesburg International Airport.
Costing: The costing is per person sharing includes all transport costs, accommodation, meals, entry fees and excursions as stipulated in the itinerary. It excludes drinks. Single supplement available on request.
